By Your Side is a pregnancy and birth education space created to help parents feel informed, calm, and confident as they prepare to meet their baby.
Hi! We’re Minaal & Sanne, mothers, qualified hypnobirthing practitioners, and the founders of By Your Side.

We created By Your Side because we believe that every woman deserves to feel informed, supported and confident as she prepares for pregnancy, birth and beyond.

Through our courses (relaxation classes and hypnobirthing courses), we’ll share practical tools for relaxation, mindset and birth preparation — creating a calm and nurturing space to connect with yourself, your baby and your birth choices. 🌿

We’re so excited to connect with our community here at KAUST.

Please reach out to find more about our current classes. October: Pregnancy Relaxation Classes, Hypnobirthing Course: TBD

Cakes, cupcakes and hand decorated cookies are my little form of edible art. I love playing with colour, obsessing over tiny details and making every creation personal… taking an idea, a favourite thing or a little bit of someone’s personality and turning it into something you can admire… and then eat!

Bakes of Gray started right here at KAUST almost nine years ago. Hundreds of orders later, I still get just as excited about the next one. Every single one of my creations is made with a lot of love, creativity and attention to detail to celebrate the moments and people that matter most.

My little claim to fame? Creating a cake for F1 driver Alex Albon, commissioned by Williams Racing for the 2022 Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. 🩶

As for what’s next? Your celebration might just be my next creation. Whatever the occasion, I’d love to help make it just a bit more special.

For the past 7 years, we’ve been baking fresh, high-quality bread right here at KAUST, bringing flavors from around the world to our community. We love good bread—made the slow way, with long fermentation, fresh-milled grains, and a variety of natural starters.

Whether it’s a hearty sourdough, a childhood favorite, or something new to try, we put our hearts into our daily baking. We bake Sunday to Friday, always happy to make your day a little better with a good loaf.
